LaShanda McCadney has been using her amazing gift of worship to unselfishly lead others into God's presence. With a passion for music and a desire to touch God’s heart, her voice has been a gift that has blessed many.
LaShanda always humbly acknowledges in order to lead, she has to be present and attentive to the Holy Spirit. If you have ever been in worship with her, you will notice one thing…she gives her all. "My desire is to touch God's heart. I want to be able to help others experience that same feeling I felt the moment that I experienced his presence wholeheartedly".
LaShanda expresses the greatest moments for her is seeing people lives changed and transformed, and receiving emails and social media messages from people testifying of salvation, addictions being broken, restoration and healing that has come through her ministry.
Born and raised in Rochester, New York, LaShanda began singing as a young child growing up in the church. LaShanda was exposed to many genres of music which help her flourish and define who she is today. Faithfully serving as the worship leader for over 10 years at The Cornerstone, which is founded by her parents Glenn and Eletha Williams. This has allowed LaShanda to cultivate her path that appeals to no particular culture or class.
In 2012, with the help of her husband, producer/musician Terrence McCadney, her debut CD project, “Contagious” was born and released. Since the debut release, she has traveled to many cities, leading with various choirs and minstrels. She has also shared stages with many well-known artists and worship leaders.
She was featured with a showcase opportunity on Bobby Jones Gospel, also performed as a featured artist for the Kingdom Bound Festival at Six Flags from 2009-current.
LaShanda's ministry has crossed denominational and cultural boundaries, causing her to be a blessing to a wider spectrum of people. This grace allows her to bridge gaps between cultures, denominations, and generations. LaShanda has a heart and ministry for this generation to experience revival.
More than just leading worship, LaShanda also instructs and facilitates worship leaders and their teams through out different regions. LaShanda and her husband also host a worship nights entitled Reign. These events are held through out the region to ignite revival.
LaShanda’s ministry reaches beyond the music, as she is the founder of “The Nest” an organization for teens and young adults which promotes empowerment and development.
LaShanda released her latest single entitled “I Believe”. This song was birthed out of a place of trusting God and his promises even when you don’t see them. Her hope is to encourage others to believe again, trust again, and step out on faith again. “I Believe” is available online on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, and all other digital markets.
LaShanda was blessed to hold a spot as NEW and ACTIVE on the BILLBOARD/MEDIABASE GOSPEL CHARTS for 2019 and came in at TOP #30 on the BILLBOARD GOSPEL INDICATOR CHARTS. With Online streams of more that 120k in less than 4 months, her story is beginning to grow fast.
